Wednesday Shorts: Arene

Last week, I shared Rise, which was hands down one of the better short films I’ve seen in a while. The special effects alone were marvelous.

This week, though, I wanted to turn my attention to a similar, but less noticed film, Arene, from Henrick B. Clausen. Similar to Rise in intent, it differentiates itself by being powerful in what it shows, rather than tells. No grand speeches, no ideological statements, just actions that convey so much.

You guys know how much I love well done subtext.

Check it out. This one deserves a big budget and feature length film, to be sure.
